Operator-listed layer · separate from the licensed directory · not independently verified
Sites operators list on their own websites
U.S. data-center sites that operators publish on their official websites and that are not already rows in the licensed directory. Every listing links to the operator’s page and shows the date DataCenterData captured it.
Each site is what an operator states about itself on its own website, checked against the page DataCenterData captured; each fact links to that page. DataCenterData has not verified these sites independently. The list is not a census: it covers only the operators whose official U.S. portfolio pages could be captured with their robots rules respected. Units are mixed (buildings, facilities, campuses and provider presences where a suite or floor is listed), so the numbers are not building counts, and they are never added to licensed rows or reviewed records.

States with operator-listed sites
Counts are operator-listed sites of mixed units. They are not added to the licensed rows for the same state.
What this layer is
A compilation, by DataCenterData, of what operators state about their own U.S. data-center sites on their official websites: the site’s name as listed, the operator’s facility code, the address as published and, only where the page states one, a lifecycle status as a normalized value (planned, under construction or operational). For listings individually reviewed from one operator’s pages, the cooling design redundancy that page states for the listed facility code (N+1 or N+2) is shown as design information only. A reviewed critical-IT, utility-power, or floor-area figure is shown only when its unit and facility, building, or campus scope are clear. Timing is labeled live, planned, or unstated according to what the page says. No operator page text is republished. Where several operators list one street address it is shown once, as a building, with each operator’s listing kept separately. Where one operator lists sibling buildings at one address they are shown once, as a campus, with each listed building named.
How the rows were collected
- Pages were read from each operator’s official website; each listing cites its saved source and capture date. The site’s robots rules were checked first; any disallowed path, access challenge or refused request was skipped and not retried by another route. Commercial directories were not used.
- Each name, address and status was checked against the wording on the captured page, and each listing is tied to a stored copy of that page and its SHA-256 digest. The wording itself is kept for these checks and is not republished.
- A listing appears here only when the robots rules of every page it relies on were confirmed; a site that publishes no robots file (HTTP 404) counts as unrestricted. Rows that independent reviewers excluded or held are not shown.
- Rows that already match a licensed row on the identical full street address, or on the operator’s facility code within 1 km, or on the operator’s facility code in the same city where the licensed row publishes no street, are not repeated here. They appear as “Operator’s own listing” on 366 licensed record pages. Weaker matches are not shown.

A site whose operator names only a city, with no street, appears on its state list without a page of its own.
What this layer does not establish
- That a site is operating, unless the operator’s page says so, and then only as the operator states it.
- That a stated power or floor-area figure is a measured load, or that it covers a wider site than the stated scope.
- Who owns a building, or who its tenants are.
- That an operator’s list is complete, or that any state list is a census.
The printable national overview and detailed map include this layer. The detailed map lists this layer and places a marker only where a supported coordinate is published; a city is not given a city-center point. Site search lists these sites in their own group, “Also listed by operators”, never counted with licensed rows. Browse the licensed directory →
Facts compiled by DataCenterData from operators’ public pages, each shown with a link to the operator’s page and the capture date. No page text is republished and no license is granted. The site-search index publishes the site name as listed (for two multi-operator buildings the listed name is the street), operator, facility code, city and state. The detailed map also publishes the street, a normalized status, and a reviewed power, area, or cooling figure, without the operator’s page text. No other data file of this layer is published. Operator names and trademarks belong to their owners.
