What DataCenterData covers

• Facility register: 2,650 U.S. register records, each joining every source layer DataCenterData holds for one site unit. They are campuses, buildings, suites and unresolved presences, not a census of unique sites.
• Policy tracker: 566 sourced data-center policy records (state, local, utility territory and regional grid), each with its status, its primary source and the date it was last checked.
• Reviewed records: 214 published records. 108 are independently source-linked: 87 projects or campuses and 21 facilities or buildings. The rest are labeled on their own pages, mainly municipal building leads and company-attributed records.
• Evidence checks: 90 questions, public statements and documented facts, each with its result and sources.

What it does not cover

The register is not a census of every data center, and layers overlap, so these counts are not added together. Listings from the licensed directory and from operator websites help discovery but are not DataCenterData findings. A policy record does not establish that an instrument applies to any particular site, and a state without a current record is not cleared.

How it is updated

The site and its download files are regenerated with every release. Each record keeps its source and the date it was retrieved or reviewed, and changes are listed on Changes and in the Atom feed. What this site is

A public evidence ledger that remains usable without JavaScript. Campuses, projects, parcels, buildings, operating facilities and provider presences are different units. Company claims stay labeled as company claims.

Corrections

Use the structured correction form. It collects the record or claim ID, field, current wording, proposed wording and primary-source URL before opening a reviewable message to corrections@datacenterdata.com. Accepted changes appear on the Change log.

• Primary documents are the evidence that can change a record. Company statements are recorded as attributed claims with the claimant named.
• We do not remove, reword or rerank a record because someone asked, paid or threatened to.
• Every request and its outcome, including declines with the reason, is logged on the Change log. No outside correction requests have been logged there yet.
• Response time depends on source access and the scope of the requested change. The public history records accepted material changes.
• Do not send confidential material. This is an editorial evidence desk, not an audit, listing service or takedown shop.

Featured claims get a second source check: a separate software-assisted review that did not write the original record re-reads every cited source. It is a workflow check, not a human expert review and not an outside audit. Verdict changes appear on Changes with the old value, the new value and the reason.
