Facility register completeness

What complete means and does not mean

"Complete" on this site means: every admitted register record is listed with its sources, every source row we have read is accounted for as matched, new, held or excluded, and every unknown field states why it is unknown. It does not mean every US data center is listed. It does not mean the listed capacities are comparable to each other. It does not mean a facility is operating. The register total counts records: campuses, buildings, suites, unresolved leased presences and sites whose unit is not established. A campus and its buildings may each have a record. Unresolved leased presences do not establish separate physical sites. These record counts are not a unique physical-site census.

Coverage

The register holds 2,650 current register records; 2,571 have a facility page and the rest link to an existing reviewed project page. The register was derived from inputs dated through 2026-10-14.

• The states and the District of Columbia: 2,650 register records, 259 open holds
• U.S. territories (own group): 0 register records, 0 open holds

Record types, counted separately:

• campus: 170
• building: 284
• suite: 0
• leased presence: 47
• site unknown: 2,149

2,603 records identify a site unit; 47 describe unresolved leased presences. Campus and building records can overlap, so neither figure is a unique physical-site census.

The upstream census of the current input files counts 3,438 source rows; 0 are not accounted for by the promoted register and 0 accounted rows are no longer in the inputs.

Source rows whose operator name maps to no operator family: 1.

Depth

23,860 of 100,700 contract cells populated (38 fields per register record); 76,840 unknown, each with a reason. Quote-bound facts recorded: 2,973.

This measures recorded evidence, not whether every statement is current. A recorded availability statement remains in this coverage count after it expires; its profile then says current availability is not confirmed. Dates and qualifications stay with each value.

The same field checklist applies to every register record. Its populated share is not a score of national coverage or a promise that every field can be filled for every facility. Some details may not apply or may not be publicly disclosed; those distinctions need evidence, and an empty cell alone does not establish either.

Precision

Records with a street address: 53.17%. Without an established street: 1,241. Records whose coordinate is precise enough for a map: 536. Source rows whose OpenStreetMap-derived coordinate is withheld and never republished: 408.

Best known location precision

• city: 1,101
• exact: 145
• street: 1,320
• unknown: 84

Coordinate precision

• centroid: 4
• exact: 145
• no coordinate: 930
• street: 391
• unknown: 1,180

Freshness

Ages are measured against the newest input date, 2026-10-14, not the day the site was built. Oldest last-checked date: 2026-05-30; newest: 2026-10-20. Records whose next check was due by that date: 33.

• default cadence: 2,411
• operator planned or construction: 26
• registry moving lifecycle: 90
• registry other lifecycle: 123

Criteria

Each criterion is checked by the build. us_census_complete is true only when every criterion passes.

Open identity reviews (holds)

Open holds: 259. Oldest: 0 days. Older than 90 days: 0. Holds whose candidates have no facility page: 0. A hold is never resolved or dismissed by age; only a reviewed decision with captured evidence resolves it.
