Provider notes
Water. Aligned states its facilities employ "a closed-loop cooling system designed to minimize water use." This is the operator's general design claim, not a site-specific permit or measurement.
Community. Neighboring landowners raised concerns about water supply, electricity demand, roads and infrastructure, noise, lighting, agriculture and nearby rural property. The Grady County Board of Commissioners called a special meeting for Sept 8, 2026 to consider county response options. Grady County officials have separately said the county cannot impose a data center moratorium.
What the source record says
An affiliate of Aligned Data Centers bought roughly 800 acres of rural land near Amber, northwest of Chickasha in Grady County, for more than $17 million. That $17M is the LAND purchase price only — it is not a project investment figure and is deliberately not recorded as investmentUsd. No capacity, building count or timeline has been made public. Coordinates are the town of Amber, not a parcel. This is a separate Grady County site from the tracked Chickasha Airport Industrial Park project.
Any MW value is reproduced as source-reported context. Its measurement boundary is not established consistently enough for comparison. Unknown is not zero.

Land purchase near Amber surfaced publicly; Aligned says the project remains in early stages with many details unfinalized.

That does not mean the row is wrong, and it does not mean no reviewed record exists for the same place. A link is added only when an identifier or source establishes the match.
