This is a source-attributed discovery row. It can help you find a place and its citations; it is not a DataCenterData finding that the facility is distinct or currently operating.

Previously held pending provider-field review. The concern has not been resolved by an independent source review for this captured edition; the field remains withheld. The upstream row remains attributed below, but this value is not repeated as site capacity.
Reported details
Source-reported by Compute Atlas; not independently verified by DataCenterData. Provider wording is kept; long provider notes are shortened and marked …; unknown is not zero; none of these values is totaled, ranked or compared.

These reviews flag conflicting scope, inconsistent source text or support that has not been established. A withheld value may appear in the explanation, but is not displayed as an established field. The upstream row remains attributed under Sources.
- Announced investment: The source note identifies $80 million as the land purchase price in property records, not total project investment.
What the source record says
Second, physically separate xAI Memphis site, distinct from the Colossus campus at 3231 Paul R Lowry Road in Boxtown. DCD (2025-03-10) reports xAI affiliate CTC Properties bought three parcels at 5400 Tulane Road in Whitehaven for $80m: an existing 1 million sq ft warehouse plus two adjacent sites totalling 100 acres. The $80m figure is the land purchase price recorded in property records, not total project investment. ADDRESS DISCREPANCY: DCD gives 5400 Tulane Road; Wikipedia gives 5420 Tulane Road. 5400 is recorded because it is the figure in the earlier, better-attributed source, and the coordinates are a geocode of that address, not a confirmed parcel boundary. Status moved to operational on Wikipedia's account that the first major cluster came online around January 2026; Wikipedia is a weak source and this is the reason confidence stays at 'confirmed' only for the site's existence, not for its capacity. No capacityMw is recorded: Memphis Light Gas and Water was asked for a system-impact study for up to 260MW and xAI's Brent Mayo said the site could host up to 350,000 GPUs, but both are stated intentions, and the widely quoted 1 GW / 2 GW figures were not confirmed in any source fetched for this record. POWER IS LARGELY OUT OF STATE: the behind-the-meter gas-turbine plant reported to serve this site sits at Stanton Road in Southaven, MISSISSIPPI, so it is not a Tennessee facility and is deliberately not recorded here. PIN CORRECTED 2026-09-13: the previous coordinate (34.999654,-90.04295) was a bare OSM address POINT for 5400 Tulane Road (place=house, ~11m x 9m, no building geometry), sitting 759 m from the warehouse it was meant to mark. The pin is now the centroid of OSM building way 1386926534, explicitly tagged name="xAI Macrohard Colossus 2", operator=xAI, telecom=data_center, addr:housenumber=5420 (way version 3, last edited 2025-12-31). Its footprint measures 511 m x 176 m = 969,472 sq ft, matching the 1 million sq ft warehouse this record describes to within 3%, and Nominatim resolves "5420 Tulane Road" directly to it. This also RESOLVES the address discrepancy above rather than choosing a side: 5400 is the property-record address for the three-parcel, 100-acre assemblage (kept in location.street, per the cited DCD source), while 5420 is the warehouse building itself. precision remains "approximate": the pin is a crowd-sourced OSM footprint corroborated by Wikipedia, NOT a parcel-confirmed point -- Shelby County assessor records returned 403 and could not be checked. Upgrading to "exact" needs that parcel record.
Any MW value is reproduced as source-reported context. Its measurement boundary is not established consistently enough for comparison. Unknown is not zero.
