Provider notes
Energy. 570 MW via a Letter of Agreement with AEP Ohio (May 2025); the utility confirmed the full 570 MW available by end of Q3 2026, ~1 year ahead of schedule. The site is the former Hannibal aluminum-processing plant at the Monroe County Port Authority's Hannibal Industrial Park. No on-site generation confirmed.
Community. American Heavy Plate Solutions LLC (a neighboring tenant leasing 9.9 of the 100-acre Hannibal Industrial Park) sued Bitdeer subsidiaries (Erie Creek LLC, Whitetail Creek LLC, Bitdeer Inc.) and the Monroe County Port Authority in the Court of Common Pleas of Monroe County, OH (disclosed in Bitdeer's SEC Form 6-K, Feb 2 2026), seeking declaratory and injunctive relief over a restrictive covenant in AHP's 2018 lease; Bitdeer says it will 'vigorously defend' and that construction/power timing 'may be affected.'
What the source record says
Clarington, Monroe County; 570 MW via an AEP Ohio LOA, targeted available by end of Q3 2026. Bitdeer transitioning from bitcoin mining toward HPC/AI. Coordinates are the Clarington area centroid. No Clarington-specific capex, water, or jobs figures are disclosed; Bitdeer's 2026 mining capex guidance is company-wide and excludes AI/HPC. Some cooling/jobs figures in secondary coverage describe Bitdeer's separate Shalersville (Portage County) site, not Clarington.
Any MW value is reproduced as source-reported context. Its measurement boundary is not established consistently enough for comparison. Unknown is not zero.
