Summary

Portland General Electric's Schedule 496 is a data-center-specific tariff schedule for facilities of 20,000 kW or more whose end use is a data center, covering service for data center customers that opt out of cost-of-service pricing. It took effect for service on and after 8 July 2026 under Advice No. 26-24, which the Oregon Public Utility Commission approved in Order No. 26-239 following Order No. 26-154. It applies only in PGE's Oregon service territory.

What this does not establish

  • This is a utility tariff schedule, not a statute; the Commission orders that required and approved it are separate records (or-puc-order-26-154-pge-large-load, or-puc-order-26-239-pge-tariff-approval).
  • The schedule sheets carry issue dates of 3 June 2026 and 30 June 2026; the later date is stored as the document date.
  • Rates and charges are not restated.
  • Companion data-center Schedules 96, 496 and 596 are recorded separately; Schedule 696 (New Large Load Data Center Cost-of-Service Opt-Out) is not recorded here.

Unresolved questions

None recorded.

Relationships

Supersession means a later instrument replaces the earlier legal effect. Repeal links identify the repeal instrument and the measure it ends. A later implementation or related letter is not treated as a replacement unless the record says so.
