Summary

On 3 September 2025 the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio denied every application for rehearing of its order adopting a data center tariff for AEP Ohio in Case No. 24-508-EL-ATA and affirmed that order's determinations. The rehearing requests came from data center, blockchain, manufacturer and power-supplier parties. The entry applies only to AEP Ohio's service territory. The Commission's docket later lists a notice of appeal to the Supreme Court of Ohio (Case No. 2025-1458).

What this does not establish

  • The 9 July 2025 opinion and order that adopted the tariff was not opened for this record; the entry is described only as far as its own text goes.
  • The Commission docket lists a notice of appeal to the Supreme Court of Ohio filed on 3 November 2025 and transmittal papers filed on 3 December 2025 (S.C. 2025-1458). The Supreme Court's online docket is a JavaScript application, so the appeal's current status was not confirmed; no decision is recorded here.
  • The record oh-puco-24-0508-el-ata-aep-schedule-dct-20250723 (the 23 July 2025 approval of the tariff pages) is a separate instrument in the same case.

Unresolved questions

  • Outcome of Supreme Court of Ohio Case No. 2025-1458.

Relationships

Supersession means a later instrument replaces the earlier legal effect. Repeal links identify the repeal instrument and the measure it ends. A later implementation or related letter is not treated as a replacement unless the record says so.
