What the source record says
Capacity is disputed between the two sources fetched this run and is deliberately omitted from capacityMw rather than guessed: Baxtel states an initial 2MW phase scaling to 10MW; KOTA TV separately reports 15MW for the same project (also citing a 1.3 PUE design target vs. an industry average of 1.8-2.0). Tier 3 edge computing facility, greenfield, an initial ~30,000 sq ft building on a 1-acre footprint within a 10-acre site, expandable to five data halls across 7 acres. Construction was reported (both sources) to begin late summer 2026 with a roughly 14-month build targeting a 2027 opening; no source checked this run (2026-09-13) confirms construction has actually started. Coordinate is an OSM Nominatim road-level geocode of S Highway 79, Rapid City -- not a confirmed parcel.
Any MW value is reproduced as source-reported context. Its measurement boundary is not established consistently enough for comparison. Unknown is not zero.

Filtered to data-center records in the 50 U.S. states; selected fields normalized for search and display; DataCenterData directory IDs added. Compute Atlas 1.34.1 with retained prior rows and publication holds. This is a DataCenterData composite, not an unmodified publisher edition. This row uses the captured source from 1.34.1, source as of 2026-10-14T20:40:52.293Z.
That does not mean the row is wrong, and it does not mean no reviewed record exists for the same place. A link is added only when an identifier or source establishes the match.
