Scope

San Angelo's ordinance adds Zoning Ordinance Article 4, Section 430 'Data Centers'. New data centers are permitted as a principal use only by Conditional Use, and a Conditional Use application may be made only in the ML (Light Manufacturing) and MH (Heavy Manufacturing) districts. The section sets site-plan submittals and minimum standards, including a 300-foot front building setback from residentially zoned property, and excludes cryptocurrency mining from the data center definition. It does not invalidate land uses or structures legally established before 19 May 2026.
