Summary

Nebraska Executive Order 26-17, signed on 20 July 2026, directs state agencies to administer the ImagiNE Nebraska Act and the Nebraska Advantage Act consistent with their stated purposes, to consider environmental quality and statewide resource interests when reviewing incentive applications, and to form a Data Center Task Force that analyzes data centers' effects on water and the environment and makes recommendations to the Legislature in 2027.

What this does not establish

  • The Governor's news release says the order ends access to ImagiNE Nebraska Act incentives for data centers, but the order's own text does not state a prohibition on data center applications; this record is limited to the order's text.
  • The order does not state a separate effective day; none is stored.
  • Whether any incentive application has been denied under the order, and what the task force has recommended, was not checked.

Unresolved questions

None recorded.

Relationships

Supersession means a later instrument replaces the earlier legal effect. Repeal links identify the repeal instrument and the measure it ends. A later implementation or related letter is not treated as a replacement unless the record says so.

  • No related action is recorded.
