Rate DCP sets the terms on which EKPC and its owner-member distribution cooperatives serve an Eligible Data Center, defined by a load size test (expected or actual peak demand of 15,000 kW or more) and a load factor test (monthly load factor of 60 percent or more); a qualifying customer must take service under it, and a special contract is also executed.

Summary

On 30 October 2025 the Kentucky Public Service Commission approved, with modifications, East Kentucky Power Cooperative's Data Center Power Tariff (Rate DCP) for service on and after the order date. The tariff sets how EKPC and its owner-member cooperatives serve Eligible Data Centers, meaning data centers with at least 15,000 kW of expected or actual peak demand and a monthly load factor of at least 60 percent, alongside a special contract. The order required revised tariff sheets within 20 days and closed the case.

What this does not establish

  • The order's date is not printed in the text layer; the Commission's case filing list records the Final Order as entered 30 October 2025, and the Commission's 16 February 2026 KU order cites it as an order of 30 October 2025.
  • The revised tariff sheets EKPC was ordered to file were not opened, so the modified tariff text is described only through the order.
  • The case filing list read on 23 September 2026 shows no Commission filing after the 30 October 2025 final order; later tariff revisions filed through the Electronic Tariff Filing System were not checked.
  • It applies only in the service territories of EKPC's owner-member cooperatives, not statewide.

None recorded.

Relationships

Supersession means a later instrument replaces the earlier legal effect. Repeal links identify the repeal instrument and the measure it ends. A later implementation or related letter is not treated as a replacement unless the record says so.

  • No related action is recorded.
