Summary
On 3 September 2025 the Delaware Public Service Commission, citing a proposed 1.2 GW data center in Delmarva Power & Light Company's territory, opened Docket No. 25-0826 to establish a large load tariff for customers of 25 MW or more. Delmarva filed a proposed tariff on 19 December 2025, and on 9 April 2026 Commission Staff, DNREC and the Public Advocate filed joint comments raising concerns about it. No final tariff order was found on the Commission's public pages. The order's separate interconnection pause is recorded independently.
What this does not establish
- The same source instrument also establishes the separately recorded interconnection pause; this record covers only the pending tariff proceeding.
- The data-center references are in the order's recitals; the ordering paragraphs apply to all large load customers of 25 MW or more in Delmarva's Delaware service territory, not only to data centers.
- The official docket system (DelaFile) disallows automated access in its robots.txt, so the docket's full filing list and any order after 9 April 2026 could not be checked there; pending status rests on the Commission's news listing (items through 17 September 2026) whose latest large load item is the 9 April 2026 joint comments.
- The order's recital names the utility 'Delmarva Light & Power Company'; the ordering paragraphs use DPL.
- This record does not describe the content of Delmarva's proposed tariff, which was not opened.
Unresolved questions
- Whether the Commission has approved, modified or rejected Delmarva's proposed large load tariff after 9 April 2026 was not established.
Relationships
Supersession means a later instrument replaces the earlier legal effect. Repeal links identify the repeal instrument and the measure it ends. A later implementation or related letter is not treated as a replacement unless the record says so.
- Related, not a replacement Delmarva interconnection pause for prospective loads of 25 MW or more (In effect)
