The stored 7,650 MW is the generating capacity of the associated gas plant, not a stated data-center capacity. The upstream row remains attributed below, but this value is not repeated as site capacity.

Provider notes

Energy. TCEQ air permit secured (Jan 2026) for up to 7.65GW gas-fired generation - the largest such permit in the US. Includes 1.8GW battery storage + up to 750MWac solar. Off-grid/private-network design, not ERCOT-interconnected. Developer timeline: 1GW online 2028, 5+GW by 2030-31.

What the source record says

~17 miles north of Fort Stockton. This is fundamentally a power-generation project 'purpose-built to support hyperscale data center operators' (per Data Center Dynamics), but no data center tenant/operator has been named - classified 'rumored' confidence on the data-center use specifically. Distinct from the existing tracked Microsoft/Core Scientific 'Pecos' entries (those are in Reeves County, not Pecos County). Coordinates are approximate. Data center tenant unidentified. Public-reception check (2026-09-10): TCEQ approved the site's air permit (up to 7.65GW gas-fired, authorized to emit 12,000+ tons/yr of regulated pollutants per permitting documents) in early 2026. Checked an oil-and-gas-watchdog outlet (a source that actively covers this project's environmental profile in detail) and it documents no local opposition, hearing record, or resident reaction to GW Ranch specifically -- only industry/regulatory facts. The original DCD source and a second outlet (Inside Climate News) both 403'd on fetch. No community-reception record found in the source actually retrieved.

Capacity is not ranked or totaled here.

Any MW value is reproduced as source-reported context. Its measurement boundary is not established consistently enough for comparison. Unknown is not zero.

Sources and attribution

These sources are listed for the whole row. Unless a figure links to its own source, the provider does not mark which one gave it, so a figure may not appear in every source.

No reviewed record is linked to this row yet.

That does not mean the row is wrong, and it does not mean no reviewed record exists for the same place. A link is added only when an identifier or source establishes the match.
