Community. Residents organized through East Greenwich Grassroots, Protectegnj.com, local Facebook groups and door-to-door outreach before American Tower withdrew. The Township Committee then adopted an ordinance prohibiting future data centers.

American Tower proposed a 16,000 sq ft data storage facility, roughly 21 feet tall, with about 3,500 sq ft of power-equipment housing and nearly 4 megawatts of power, in the Mount Royal section of East Greenwich Township. The megawatt figure is reported as 'nearly 4' rather than an exact value, so capacityMw is omitted. No parcel address appears in the public reporting; coordinates are the Mount Royal locality centroid and must not be read as a site pin.
