Provider notes

Energy. Self-supplied through a dedicated project-funded 230 kV line from the Mead substation, completely separate from Boulder City's power distribution system, with on-site battery storage for peak management. Peak demand stated as 167 MW, under 2% of Mead substation capacity.

Water. Air-cooled closed-loop design. Potable water limited to restrooms and an employee kitchen, with roughly 90% of water used returning to the city wastewater treatment system.

Community. Public pushback in Boulder City preceded the applicant's withdrawal of its application for the city-owned parcel on July 6, 2026.

What the source record says

Proposed as two warehouse-style server buildings plus a 230 kV substation, battery energy storage and perimeter fencing, maximum 40-foot height with dark-sky-compliant lighting. The city page states 200-300 construction/testing jobs and 25-40 permanent technical positions; these ranges are not recorded as point values in the jobs field. Reported as a joint venture of Skylar Capital, Arevon Energy and Overwatch Capital, but that ownership was read only in a search summary and is not asserted here. Status is kept at proposed rather than cancelled: the withdrawal was of the city-land application, not of the project.

Capacity is not ranked or totaled here.

Any MW value is reproduced as source-reported context. Its measurement boundary is not established consistently enough for comparison. Unknown is not zero.
