City council unanimously rejected the developer's request to lift a data-center moratorium early, calling it 'unreasonable as it relates to the potential health, safety, and welfare impacts in the city.' The source reports that during roughly 90 minutes of public comment no speaker expressed support, with concerns centred on proximity to schools, day cares and homes. Developer Dennis Griffin said data centers were being treated 'very, very unfairly.'
