Provider notes
Community. Hexa filed a 104-page, 20-count suit on 5 June 2026 seeking a declaration that the ban is unconstitutional, reversal of the planning board's rejection and $300 million in damages. The case was removed to the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey in Camden on 6 July 2026 (Civil Action No. 26-cv-08284-ESK-EAP); the township moved to dismiss on 28 July 2026 and no ruling had issued as of August 2026.
What the source record says
Hexa Builders received planning board approval on 8 January 2026 (memorialized 2 February 2026) for two warehouses of roughly 522,000 and 1.1 million sq ft at 3043 Black Horse Pike, with the larger building planned for eventual conversion to a data center. The data center use was never separately approved: Monroe Township adopted a township-wide ban on 22 April 2026 and the application was deemed incomplete in May 2026. No megawatt figure was ever published. Coordinates are a street-level geocode of Black Horse Pike in Williamstown; no parcel-level point is available.
Any MW value is reproduced as source-reported context. Its measurement boundary is not established consistently enough for comparison. Unknown is not zero.
