How to read this page

This is a source-attributed discovery row. It can help you find a place and its citations; it is not a DataCenterData finding that the facility is distinct or currently operating.

Withheld from data-center maps and activity counts.

The row is a cable landing station and conflates it with a separately located colocation facility; it remains a searchable discovery lead but is not counted or plotted as a data center. The licensed source row and its citations remain available here.

Reported details

Source-reported by Compute Atlas; not independently verified by DataCenterData. Provider wording is kept; long provider notes are shortened and marked …; unknown is not zero; none of these values is totaled, ranked or compared.

Provider notes

Energy. Hawaiki's 2025 Final EA describes the existing CLS (permitted mainly in 2017) as a building of about 3,850 sq ft with two diesel generators in a sound-dampened generator room. The planned expansion adds only landing infrastructure (up to three bores, one beach manhole and conduits) on the adjacent 22-acre parcel. It requires no expansion of the CLS building, no new above-ground infrastructure and no added staff.

What the source record says

Landing station for the Hawaiki trans-Pacific submarine cable (completed 2018), providing 43 terabits of carrier-neutral capacity via six fiber pairs to the US west coast, Australia, New Zealand and American Samoa. DRFortress has operated landing and colocation activities here under a long-term partnership with Hawaiki dating to 2016; 1547 Critical Systems Realty (which acquired DRFortress in 2025) lists a Kapolei facility ("HAII1", branded AlohaNAP-adjacent, ~10,200 sq ft expandable to 60,200 sq ft) that this record treats as the same site rather than a separate parcel, since both describe DRFortress/1547 colocation activity at the one cable landing station Hawaiki owns in Kapolei — flag for a human split if that assumption is wrong. In early 2026 the Honolulu City Council granted a Special Management Area Major Permit for an expansion project at this site to add landing capacity for Google's Taihei and Tabua cables plus BW Digital's own Hawaiki Nui cable. Coordinates are a Census TIGER-line geocode of the street address, not a confirmed parcel survey.

Capacity is not ranked or totaled here.

Any MW value is reproduced as source-reported context. Its measurement boundary is not established consistently enough for comparison. Unknown is not zero.

These sources are listed for the whole row. Unless a figure links to its own source, the provider does not mark which one gave it, so a figure may not appear in every source.
