Provider notes
Energy. Data Center Knowledge reports '7.2 megawatts of capacity in phase 1, with a 30 megawatt substation on site' — the 30 MW is substation capacity for future phases, not IT load, so capacityMw records the 7.2 MW phase-1 figure. Efficiency features reported at opening: 400V power distribution, in-row cooling, hot air containment, and an expected PUE of 1.4. The building is LEED Gold certified.
Water. Data Center Knowledge reports water-side economizer cooling fed by a 400,000 gallon rainwater cistern.
What the source record says
Subsidies checked at the municipal tier (2026-09-05): no site-level subsidy found. South Jordan's FY2024-25 tentative budget enumerates all 11 RDA/CDA/EDA project areas the city has ever run, active or completed, by name — none is eBay, Topaz, Daybreak, or Kennecott, and the completed pre-2008 areas predate the 2009-built Topaz campus. A separate 2022-adopted CRA (initially mislabeled "Daybreak Commerce Park" in a staff-report boilerplate paragraph, formally the Southwest Quadrant Urban Center Community Reinvestment Project Area) was chased down and confirmed to be an unrelated greenfield transit-oriented project led by VP Daybreak Holdings/Larry H. Miller Company, not eBay. Historical state-level GOED EDTIF awards to eBay Inc. (2008 and 2011) are on the public record but are entity-level, not a South Jordan site agreement, and this pass could not independently verify their reported dollar figures. Utah's EDTIF programme excludes data centres and the UCA 59-12-104 exemption is self-executing.
Any MW value is reproduced as source-reported context. Its measurement boundary is not established consistently enough for comparison. Unknown is not zero.
