The underlying provider record is retained. These notes add source-attributed context and flag conflicts; any withheld value is explained separately. They do not certify current operation.

  • Source review: Provider history requires care: Provider notes retain the earlier pending-proposal description; the newer history attributes cancellation to the developer's August 2026 abandonment announcement.

Provider notes

Community. Christian County had a pre-existing moratorium on data center construction (imposed Aug 2025); a resident petition with nearly 700 signatures calls for an 18-month moratorium plus independent studies before any approval.

What the source record says

Proposed 475-acre, 10-building (100MW each, ~1,000MW total) data center campus in unincorporated Christian County, ~2 miles southwest of Taylorville near Clarksdale. Estimated cost $6B-$8.8B. Earliest construction would not begin before 2028-2029. No formal application had been filed with the county as of the board's first briefing on the proposal; zoning board and county board votes are still pending. Not yet listed on major public data center trackers.

Capacity is not ranked or totaled here.

Any MW value is reproduced as source-reported context. Its measurement boundary is not established consistently enough for comparison. Unknown is not zero.
