Provider notes
Energy. Source describes a 16-megawatt fuel cell plant paired with the data center. The fuel feedstock is not stated in the source, so energy.source is recorded as 'other' rather than assuming natural gas.
Water. Project representative states a closed-loop cooling system using 500,000 gallons of water a year. That is an annual figure, not a daily one, so reportedMgd is omitted rather than converted (0.5 million gallons per YEAR is not 0.5 MGD).
Community. The Lansing Planning Commission rejected the rezoning request in December 2025 and then voted 5-2 on 2026-03-03 to recommend that the city council rezone the land. The source records the split votes and the earlier rejection but does not attribute a stated reason to the opposing votes, so 'mixed' rather than 'contested'.
What the source record says
Downtown Lansing infill project on a 2.5-acre city parking lot at Cedar and Larch Street, developed by U.K.-based Deep Green. STATUS CONFLICT, resolved in favour of the later source: the Lansing State Journal source (2026-03) shows the planning commission recommending rezoning, but Gander Newsroom's continuously-updated Michigan tracker (retrieved 2026-09-09) lists the application as WITHDRAWN in April 2026, so status is recorded as 'cancelled'. A withdrawn application is not necessarily permanent abandonment and this should be re-checked before publishing. On the March position: as of the source, the planning commission had only RECOMMENDED rezoning to the city council; no council rezoning or site-plan approval is recorded. The buy-sell agreement gives the city a right to buy the land back if the project does not proceed within two years. No investment figure, job counts, or incentive agreement is stated in the source. Coordinates are the US Census geocoder's match for the Cedar St / N Larch St intersection named in the source; the parcel itself is not confirmed. Investment of $120 million and the 24 MW figure are both from the Gander tracker; the 24 MW also appears in the Lansing State Journal source.
Any MW value is reproduced as source-reported context. Its measurement boundary is not established consistently enough for comparison. Unknown is not zero.

That does not mean the row is wrong, and it does not mean no reviewed record exists for the same place. A link is added only when an identifier or source establishes the match.
