Provider notes
Energy. Conditional use permit requires renewables to supply 50% of the center's power in its first five years and 100% within 10 years, plus 2.4 MW of renewable energy on the site. Developer TerraWatt's Sept. 2026 certiorari petition calls the renewable conditions 'practically impossible on the 11-acre site'. Utility not named.
Community. Approved with conditions including a $15.75M community benefits fund, no local tax abatement sought, closed-loop cooling, rooftop solar/green-roof requirements, and a target of 50% renewable energy within five years; subject to potential appeal.
These reviews flag conflicting scope, inconsistent source text or support that has not been established. A withheld value may appear in the explanation, but is not displayed as an established field. The upstream row remains attributed under Sources.
- Cooling: No row note or source label states a cooling type.
What the source record says
St. Louis Board of Public Service approved the conditional use permit 5-0 on 2026-04-22; the Board of Adjustment upheld/amended it on 2026-07-30. No tenant has been named as of this session; targeted for full operation by end of 2028. Officially branded the 'Armory Innovation District.'
Any MW value is reproduced as source-reported context. Its measurement boundary is not established consistently enough for comparison. Unknown is not zero.
