What the evidence establishes
Partly. Memphis Light, Gas and Water said on 5 May 2025 that xAI's site at the former Electrolux plant was receiving 150 MW from the MLGW and TVA grid, but through two substations: 142 MW from the newly built one and 8 MW from an existing MLGW substation. MLGW also said the second 150 MW request was still awaiting a TVA board decision.
Biggest limitation
Metered load at the site, whether the second 150 MW has since been approved and energized, and the substation numbering, which MLGW's update does not give.

Evidence

What the evidence supports

MLGW's public update dated 5 May 2025 says the facility 'is receiving 150MW of power, connected to 2 electric substations (1 existing, 1 newly constructed) providing a total of 150MW of power to the facility' from the TVA/MLGW grid, with 8 MW from an adjacent, pre-existing MLGW substation and 142 MW from a newly constructed substation. It says system impact studies and transmission upgrades for the first 150 MW were completed, the substation was built at xAI's expense, and the TVA board approved 150 MW. For the second 150 MW, MLGW said a second substation was under construction and a TVA board decision was pending. The 150 MW total is supported; the new substation alone accounts for 142 MW in MLGW's account.

Still unknown

Metered load at the site, whether the second 150 MW has since been approved and energized, and the substation numbering, which MLGW's update does not give.
