Summary

The Sayreville Borough Council adopted Ordinance #15-26 on second reading on 20 July 2026, according to the clerk's endorsement on the borough's copy. The ordinance establishes an eighteen-month moratorium under which data centers are prohibited from being developed in all zones, counted from the date of adoption. It takes effect on final adoption, publication and approval by the Mayor; the Mayor approval line on the copy is blank. It is a temporary moratorium, not a permanent prohibition.

What this does not establish

  • The Mayor approval line on the borough's copy is blank, so effect is not confirmed.
  • The end of the eighteen months, 20 January 2028, is computed from the second-reading date and is not printed.
  • The ordinance applies only in the Borough of Sayreville.

Unresolved questions

  • Whether and when the Mayor approved the ordinance, and so when it took effect.

Relationships

Supersession means a later instrument replaces the earlier legal effect. Repeal links identify the repeal instrument and the measure it ends. A later implementation or related letter is not treated as a replacement unless the record says so.

  • No related action is recorded.
