Summary

Wisconsin Senate Bill 969 of the 2025-2026 session proposed prohibiting nondisclosure agreements intended to conceal information about a data center from the public. It was introduced on 6 February 2026, and the Senate Committee on Utilities, Technology and Tourism recommended passage on 13 March 2026 by a vote of 4 to 1. The official bill history records that it failed to pass pursuant to Senate Joint Resolution 1 on 23 March 2026, so it did not become law.

What this does not establish

  • The record relies on the official bill history; the bill text was not analyzed for this record.
  • The history records no floor vote in either house.
  • Companion 2025 Assembly Bill 1036 is a separate record.

Relationships

Supersession means a later instrument replaces the earlier legal effect. Repeal links identify the repeal instrument and the measure it ends. A later implementation or related letter is not treated as a replacement unless the record says so.
