Provider notes
Energy. Listing: utility-delivered power combined with Class I fuel cells and carbon capture; the Courant reports 33 fuel cells planned
Community. Courant (2026-09-21): an August 2026 town information meeting; three online petitions with more than 3,000 signatures; residents calling for a moratorium (none passed yet)
These reviews flag conflicting scope, inconsistent source text or support that has not been established. A withheld value may appear in the explanation, but is not displayed as an established field. The upstream row remains attributed under Sources.
- Power supply description: Row supports planned fuel cells but does not establish FuelCell Energy as the facility power provider.
What the source record says
O&G Industries (master developer) is marketing a 44+/49-acre former gravel-pit site off Lopus Road beside Route 8 for a 294,000 sq ft data center campus: 100 MW ultimate capacity (listing specs say 112.5 MW), sold as AI/cloud capacity and powered by utility service plus Class I fuel cells (33 fuel cells, per the Courant) with carbon capture. As of 2026-09-21 no formal application had been filed with the town. Residents approved a 32 MW data center on the same property in 2022, but it never materialized. aiClassification is not set: the AI framing comes from a marketing listing, not a committed tenant.
Any MW value is reproduced as source-reported context. Its measurement boundary is not established consistently enough for comparison. Unknown is not zero.
