Provider notes
Energy. The 350 MW figure is the load size in a Viability Assessment Agreement between PSNH (Eversource) and Granite Shore Power, LLC. Under it, PSNH studies a 'potential load interconnection of a 350 MW facility' to its transmission system, at the customer's sole cost. This is a study agreement, not an interconnection award. NH's Consumer Advocate separately said Eversource staff mentioned a developer considering 'up to 200 MW' in Bow.
Community. At a Bow Select Board meeting on 2026-09-23, an overwhelming majority of residents who spoke opposed the project, citing noise, water and air pollution. A rally against it was held on 2026-09-22. Governor Kelly Ayotte has said she opposes it and plans to propose a statewide data-center moratorium.
What the source record says
This is the former Merrimack Station coal plant site, which stopped coal generation in 2025; its two small kerosene combustion turbines are still listed as active. Granite Shore Power owns 343 acres there, in an industrial zone. That is the owner's site holding, not a confirmed data-center footprint, so landAcres is left blank. The FERC agreement says only 'a 350 MW facility' and never says data center. The data-center use comes from a Bow town official confirming high-level talks, as reported by NHPR and the Concord Monitor. The end developer has not been named and no application has been filed with the town, so confidence is 'reported'. Coordinates are the EIA plant point, so precision is approximate.
Any MW value is reproduced as source-reported context. Its measurement boundary is not established consistently enough for comparison. Unknown is not zero.
