Provider notes
Community. The Kenai Peninsula Borough, the Center for Biological Diversity and the Alaska Commercial Fisheries Conservation Alliance moved to intervene at FERC, and most of the roughly 40 public comments filed oppose the project. The Alaska Energy Authority also plans to intervene.
These reviews flag conflicting scope, inconsistent source text or support that has not been established. A withheld value may appear in the explanation, but is not displayed as an established field. The upstream row remains attributed under Sources.
- Power source: The generic source labels and row notes do not support this energy classification.
- Provider energy note: The turbine count, transmission assertion, and AEA-contact claim are absent from row notes and source labels.
- Provider water note: The seawater-cooling and no-freshwater claim is absent from row notes and source labels.
What the source record says
The plan calls for 66 modular data-center pods in a 1,650-acre seabed envelope west of Nikiski (East Foreland corridor), 45-166 ft deep, with a 3.5-mile cable to a Nikiski landing. Only preliminary studies are proposed (about $4.5M over 4 years). The pin is the Nikiski hamlet; the site is offshore to the west.
Any MW value is reproduced as source-reported context. Its measurement boundary is not established consistently enough for comparison. Unknown is not zero.
